A method for formulating paint is disclosed. The method includes providing a plurality of color coordinates of paints formed from a plurality of formulations and providing durability data related to the paints. Thereafter, the color coordinates, the cheap oil paintings formulations and the durability data are correlated to assist in forming paints of acceptable durability.
